Oh What A Glorious Day!
You may have thought that when Manny Corpas entered the game last night in a non-save situation that Clint Hurdle was just getting him some work. I think you may be missing the significance of preserving that lead and closing out last night’s game, save-situation or not. Hurdle needed to win that game to ensure that today would be a most delicious day. I declare this 28th day of April in the year MMIX to be Super Delicious Happy Taco Dollar Hot Dog Day For Eating With Pleasure Night Of Joy (SDHTDHDDFEWPNOJ). It is on this rare occasion that from 4-6pm, the people of Denver can pick up some cheap Taco Bell tacos (courtesy of the Rox scoring 7 or more runs last night) and then head over to Coors Field where if you are one of the first 10,000 in the stadium, you get a coupon for a $1 Hebrew National Hot Dog. I strongly urge everyone in the Denver area to show your support of the Rockies offensive onslaught last night and take advantage of both deals. Just be sure you have a plunger handy back at home.

Hmm…that gives me an idea for how the Rockies can enact their own economic stimulus: turn off the humidor the day before every $1 hog dog promotion. Then, after an evening of cheap tacos and $1 dogs, area plumbers will see an absolute s***storm of business!
