Sad Taco Day
Things were looking pretty bad, but it’s nice to see that when down 9 runs in the 9th inning, the Rox still have enough fight in them to reward their fans with cheap tacos (and to reward my fantasy team with a Chris Iannetta Grand Slam!). Effort appreciated, but hopefully we won’t see that again for a long time.
We’re hoping for similar offensive production tonight with a better pitching performance from Hammel so the people can celebrate Ted’s birthday tomorrow the way it was meant to be done… spending Friday night on the toilet after eating too many cheap tacos from 4-6pm (with the purchase of a beverage).

Happy birthday, Ted!
Sorry the Rox didn’t get the win on Thursday, but how ’bout the game on Friday?? After we were robbed of the run in the top of the 8th, I’m glad we were able to come back in the 9th.

From my source in DC, I wasn’t clear if Ted’s birthday was tonight or was just being celebrated tonight, but assuming it was tonight, what’s the better birthday gift:
The home-made Rockies-themed afghan or their come from behind triumph tonight?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, please satisfy our inquiring minds…

Ted’s birthday was indeed on Friday. As for the better gift, I can’t speak for Ted but I would say a Rockies come from behind themed afghan would be ideal. Why choose between the two if you don’t have to?

Aw shucks, thanks for the birthday wishes. If the miracle product that Scott suggests isn’t available, I think I’d have to take the afghan. It’s a tough call. Both make me feel warm and secure and both make the world a better place. But a Rockies victory is a fleeting moment in time. Whereas, in a pinch, that afghan could be used to cary a whole lot of tacos.
