In case you missed it…

It’s not Rockies related, but it’s interesting baseball trivia.  Andy Sonnanstine, starting pitcher for the Rays, was batting third in the Rays lineup today due to an error on the line-up card submitted by Rays manager Joe Maddon.  Sonnanstine is the first pitcher to start in the batting order in an AL (fake baseball) game since September, 23, 1976, when the White Sox batted Ken Brett eighth against the Twins (he went 0-3 and picked up the loss while pitching a complete game).  Sonnanstine went 1-3, including an RBI double in the 4th, making him the first AL starting pitcher to drive in a run in an AL game since they stopped playing the game properly and starting using a DH.
