I think you guys are maybe a little pessimistic after this series. This ain’t the Braves from 5 or 10 or 15 years ago, but I think you take the split on the road. If the Rox take 2 or 3 from from the Tigers, I think you have to call the road trip a success.

I agree that a split on the road isn’t too bad, especially facing 3 really tough pitchers. It’s not that they lost 2 games that got me down, but how they lost them. In those two games the bats stopped working (5 runs, 9 hits), the gloves stopped working (3 errors), and the pitchers struggled (15 earned runs). This team has talent at the plate, in the field, and on the mound, but they have yet to put it all together for any extended period of time. That is what bothers me, the failure to live up to the potential that we all know is there. Every time there is a game like this series finale, I hope that they have finally figured it out. If they can carry that performance into Detroit and take 2 of 3, you will certainly hear a much more positive tone to my voice on Sunday.
