500 is the Magic Number

- Rockies win – Rox record improves to 33-33, hitting the .500 mark for the first time since being 4-4.

- Rockies win – Jim Tracy’s career managerial record evens up at 577-577.

- W for Ubaldo – brings his mark up to 6-6, the first time his record would hit .500 this season.

- W for Ubaldo – evens up his career mark at 22-22.  Appearing in 3 seasons prior to this one, Ubaldo has never finished a season with a winning or losing record. (0-0 in 2006, 4-4 in 2007, 12-12 in 2008)

- 4 total bases in 4 at-bats for Ian Stewart – brings his slugging % to .500.

- 7 total bases in 5 at-bats for BARMESSSSS! - brings his slugging % to .500.

- If Ubaldo can go deep into this game, pitching 129 innings while striking out 188 hitters, he’ll hit 500 career IP and K’s.

- Ubaldo goes the distance – Huston Street doesn’t have to come in to save the game, thus ensuring his record stays at 1-1.

You know what’s so great about Rockiescast? I can be having a terrible day; I can be totally depressed about the Rockies having an awful losing series… and then I listen to Rockiescast, and everything isn’t quite as bad as it was before. It always makes me laugh and smile, and then I feel happier. I think I have a Rockiestcast addiction… it’s like a drug or something… which is both a good and a bad thing. But thanks anyway guys - thanks for making me smile after a suckish Rockies series. (although we haven’t had too many of those recently, which is good!)
