The Happiest Tacos Of All (and a few random thoughts)
Is it just me or do happy tacos seem even happier when they come at the Phillies expense?
If the Rox were able to sweep the Phillies, which would include taking games against Cliff Lee and J.A. Happ, will the sports media finally stop ignoring the Rox as legit playoff contenders?
When will Woody Paige start ignoring the Rockies so I don’t have to read/listen to him ever again.
Garrett Atkins is now 6-14 (.429) with 1 2B, 3 HR, 5 R, 8 RBI in 4 games vs the Phillies this season.
Todd Helton should stop shaving for the remainder of the season.

Those are some very deep, serious thoughts. Unfortunately, I don’t have much to comment on them… except I’m 100% with you regarding Woody Paige.

I’ve nominated myself several times but Ted doesn’t seem to be onboard. He’s just jealous because he had a fantastic beard at one point but doesn’t anymore.

great game against the phillies! as a die hard atkins fan (even this season) its good to see him perform! loved this game because we won it with two regular bench guys and a pitcher who has really been struggling! lets keep it up tonight rox! time for barmie and hawpe to start hitting again! woo!!!

The answer is face. As in:
a) Scott will never win BotM because Scott’s beard grows on his stupid jerk-face.
b) I miss my beard dearly, but I had gone too long without letting the world experience my handsome face in its entirety. I’m sure someday the longing (and the shaving) will get to be too much. On that day, the beard shall gradually return.

I don’t know if I’m onboard with this plan. The BotM should not be awarded to someone who grows a beard just to contend for the award. A beard should be grown for the sake of having a beard, and only one who truly appreciates their beard for the beard’s sake should be eligible for the award. You’re not in the beard growing business for the prize, fame, and fortune. You’re in it for the beard-love. Now get with the program, Ted!

Those are good points, Scott, and I agree with them. But am I hinting just a little bit of jealousy? Because you know that once Ted grows a beard, you’ll have much less of a chance of winning?
