Car-Gone!

What do Carlos Gonzalez, Brad Hawpe & Clint Barmes all have in common?  Ted and I got to watch all three of them go deep in last night’s win over the Natinals.  After allowing a pair of runs in the 2nd, Ubaldo settled in and was awesome through the 8th inning.  A rally by the Nats in the bottom of the 9th got a little worrisome, but Huston Street was able to get Ryan Zimmerman to fly out to left to end the game with the tying run on third.

Tonight the Rox look to make it 3 in a row while Jason Marquis attempts to tie the major league lead with his 14th win.  Tulo also looks to tie a major league lead, as a 16 homerun game will tie him with Albert Pujols at 39 on the season.  Colin Balester has given up 9 HR in 24 innings this season, so giving up 16 HR in a game to a single player isn’t too much to ask, is it?  Maybe so, as I think the Nats might pull him after giving up 7 or 8 homers.

Ooh, that picture reminds me of how delicious those nachos are. Good thing I’ll have access to more of those tonight!

For an organizations that’s so terrible at producing good baseball, the Nats sure are good at producing tasty concessions.

Ah… Gotta love the concession stands… $100 hotdogs, $50 ice cream cones, $20 packs of candy… what beats that?? And how much were those delicious nachos, Scott? 125 bucks?

Oh, and speaking of Tulo, what I wouldn’t give to see him hit 16 homers tonight… That’d be pretty awesome.
