These Are the Good Times

Just as a depressing week of Rockies baseball has fans’ spirits sinking, Jackie from Denver has pieced together a music video to remind us of the good times.  And it turns out there have been a lot of good times since June.  The first time I watched the video, I immediately felt a surge of pride and confidence in our precious ball club.  I’m sure a good deal of my reaction has to do with the way Jackie more-or-less bookended the video with showcases of why we love Ryan Spilborghs.  (Hint: it has to do with beards and walk-off grand slams.)

That was quite unnecessary, Mr. Morales.

3.5 up. Eminently maintainable.

Listen, Frankie, you know I love you, but I’m already prone to a nervous tummy and I don’t really need your help to keep that going.

Maintainable indeed. Go Rox!

That win last night makes me feel so much better about the remainder of the season. Franklin “Almost Tanklin” Morales made it uncomfortably interesting, but holy crap DLR was awesome.

Ah yes… Good times for sure. That last clip with Spilly’s walk-off grand slam reminded me that it’s… well… it’s only baseball. Seeing those guys jump around like little kids after that win is priceless. Even though some of the games this past week were pretty discouraging, overall, it’s not that big of a deal. It’s really all about these boys going out there and having a good time. Anyway, those were just my thoughts…

Yesterday’s game in the ninth was a nail-biting experience for me… But I felt a whole lot better after we ended up winning. :)

nail biter for sure!!! but we came out with a win…but franklin, please dont scare us like that again, thanks :)

I wish someone would pay me millions of dollars to go out there and have a good time. I think I’d be really good at it. But usually when I go out and have a good time, I wake up with an empty wallet and wonder where all of my money went.

Thank you, Scott, for the “Almost Tanklin”. I was watching the game trying to come up with something similar, but my distress was really blocking my creativity. Good work, sir.
